Meet Our Westhaven Chiropractor Dr. Brian K. Grindstaff, DC

We know you’re looking for a healthy mind, body & spirit. That’s why we provide patient-centered care that is different for each person.

“I prepare my head, heart, and hands to deliver the best possible care to you.”

Dr. Grindstaff has owned and operated 7 clinics.   He has employed, trained and mentored 15 different chiropractors since his career began in 1996.

Dr. Grindstaff believes the patient is more than just a spine and a pop of a few vertebrae.  He spends time on the entire musculoskeletal system.  This includes performing muscle techniques to ensure the highest quality results and longer lasting relief.   He focuses on myofascial bands, trigger points and myofascial disruptions. He utilizes his hands and dry needling for soft tissue work.

Dr. Grindstaff coaches both basketball and baseball, and is an avid golfer. He was born in Loogootee, Indiana—a town of only 3,500 residents, and has lived in Franklin, Tennessee, since 2006. While playing basketball in his youth, he received a minor knee injury. And while working on his pelvis to correct his knee injury, he found that his lifelong headaches miraculously disappeared. His dream of opening a racetrack quickly turned to becoming a chiropractor.

He’s been married to his wife, Mary, since 1997 and they have two boys: Reed, 13, and Riley, 10. Reed plays basketball, football, and baseball, while Riley plays golf, basketball, and street hockey. Mary attended Indiana State University for elementary education and now homeschools one of her two sons.

“I help each patient receive a diagnosis and relief from their condition, and leave with both an understanding and enjoyment of the chiropractic lifestyle. I utilize both, a hands on approach to treatment and also the use of instrument techniques for those who don't enjoy manual adjusting with "pops and cracks".”

Dr. Grindstaff enjoys working on the full spine muscles and bones with his hands. In addition to this style, he also uses torque release, activator,  massage therapy, Spinal Decompression, Pettibon Technique, Chiropractic Biophysics, and Upper Cervical Specific pediatric treatments.

Dry needling works well on sports injuries, getting you back into the game in the shortest possible time.

Quote from patient:

“I am so glad to find a chiropractor that is focused on me and my conditions instead of ‘practice building’”

“That’s the first time that area has ever moved”

“That is the best adjustment I have ever had”
